A warm welcome to Greenwood Counselling

A space for you and what is important to you

How I came to counselling - my story

I came to counselling having experienced my difficulties in my own life including post natal depression, a relationship breakdown and divorce.

The counselling I received really helped me to understand how I was feeling and how this was impacting my life.

What do I offer to you as your counsellor?

I offer a compassionately held space at my home.  This is a space for you to bring what is important to you with life's ups and downs.  A space for exploration with no judgement where I will listen to how it is for you right now.  I will help you to become the best version of yourself as we work together to make sense of what you bring.

An experienced counsellor

I worked at a local secondary school counselling students.  Students came to me with for example anxiety, academic worries, pressures of materialism, social networking and body image.  I have also worked for Family Action where I counselled vulnerable mothers.  Many had experienced domestic violence, drug use and relationship breakdowns.

I also worked as a counsellor for Rape Crisis counselling survivors of sexual violence.  I worked with amongst others PTSD, disassociation, low self esteem, fear and guilt and anxiety.

I hope to hear from you soon with what you need to bring to counselling.
